Minnesota student-athletes well represented on Winter Academic All-Big Ten Teams
Highlighted by Nathan Fortunato's 4.0 GPA, 13 Gopher Gymnasts earn Academic All-Big Ten honors.
The Minnesota men's gymnastics team will host its final meet of the season on Saturday, March 24th at 7pm. The team's five seniors will be recognized.
2012 JUNIOR SEASON: Did not compete.
2011 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Competed in four meets received Academic All-Big Ten honors scored career-high 13.900 on the pommel horse against Nebraska (3/18) scored career-high 14.300 on the still rings against Brockport (3/11) scored career-high 13.900 on the parallel bars against UIC (2/27) earned his first varsity letter.
2010 FRESHMAN SEASON: Did not see action in 2010 due to injury.
HIGH SCHOOL/CLUB: Walk-on competed for Great Northern Gymnastics posted a 25th-place finish at the 2009 USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic National Championships.
PERSONAL: Plans to major in English was home schooled plays mandolin in the Sawtooth Bluegrass Band has placed second and third in the Minnesota Duet Singing Championships son of Dan and Mary Moravec born June 21, 1990.

Minnesota will travel this weekend to compete against Stanford, and the National Teams from both Japan and Canada.
Day Two: Winter Cup Challenge
Stephens finished 23rd in the all-around competition, while alum Mannon finished fifth on pommel horse. Incoming freshman Wiskus also competed in the all-around finals, finishing 12th.
