Young Gophers ready for 2013 season to begin
Minnesota finishes third in number of honorees
The Minnesota men's gymnastics team held its annual season-ending banquet Saturday afternoon. Congratulations to the team and coaches on an outstanding season.
The men's gymnastics season came to an end this weekend at the NCAA Championships. The Gophers finished the year in eighth place.
Minnesota finished fourth in Thursday's pre-qualifying round of the NCAA Championships, one spot shy of advancing to the finals.
2013 Junior Season: Did not compete in any meets after suffering a season-ending injury prior to the start of the season.
2012 Sophomore Season: Made 12 appearances for the Gophers, competing on pommel horse and rings in every meet scored a career high of 14.600 on rings against Penn State and set a career high on pommel horse at the NCAA Championships with a 14.350.
2011 Freshman Season: Competed in nine of 12 meets scored season high 14.200 on the pommel horse against Brockport scored season high 14.550 on the still rings at the NCAA Championship Qualifier earned his first varsity letter.
High School/Club: A 2010 graduate of Henry B. Plant High School (Tampa, FL) member of 2009 USA Maccabiah Games team qualified to AA finals in 2007 and 2010 placed 30th in 2010 Junior Olympic AA nationals.
Personal: Business marketing major son of Thomas Beck and Sheila Katt-Beck born November 2, 1991 AP scholar in high school.
