2014 Senior Season: Named Academic All-Big Ten honoree and CGA Second Team All-America Scholar-Athlete received team's Spirit of Gopher Gymnastics Award finished second on the team and 19th overall on vault (14.550), also competing on floor exercise (13.400) and pommel horse (13.500), at the NCAA Qualifier (4/10) competed on floor (14.250), pommel horse (13.300) and vault (14.250) in the Big Ten team finals (3/28) competed in 10 meets in three events scored season-high 15.000 on floor exercise twice, as floor exercise champion at Air Force (2/8) and at Nebraska (3/15) scored season-high score of 14.100 on pommel horse at Iowa/Nebraska (2/15) shared Louis J. Cooke Award at Iowa/Brockport meet with fellow seniors (3/8) scored season-high 15.050 on vault at Nebraska (3/15) earned fourth varsity letter.
2013 Junior Season: Named CGA Second Team All-American Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honoree competed in three events in season-opening Windy City Invitational (1/18), recording a 14.500 on vault and a 13.400 on pommel horse earned season-high 15.300 on vault at Iowa (2/8) saw season-best score on floor (14.800) against UIC (2/24) finished the Big Ten Championships tied for 19th on vault, recording a score of 14.650 at the NCAA qualifier, finished floor with a score of 14.050 to tie for 32nd earned third varsity letter.
2012 Sophomore Season: Named CGA First Team All-America Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honoree saw action in every meet of the season for the Gophers posted a career high of 15.100 on floor and season high of 15.200 on vault against Iowa/Brockport (3/03) earned a career-high score on pommel horse against Penn State at 14.200 (3/17) competed in the Big Ten Championships on vault, tying for fourth with a score of 15.100 competed in the NCAA championships, scoring a 14.500 on floor, a 12.350 on pommel horse and a 14.850 on vault earned second varsity letter.
2011 Freshman Season: Named CGA Second Team All-American Scholar-Athlete competed in ten of 12 meets scored career-high 14.200 on pommel horse against UIC (2/27) scored career-high 15.850 on the vault at the Big Ten Team Championships (4/1) earned first varsity letter.
High School/Club: A 2010 graduate of Eldorado High School competed for the Sandia Acrobatic Gymnastics Academy in Albuquerque state floor exercise champion and won the Region 9 floor exercise and pommel horse championships in 2010 qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals in 2009 qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals for five straight years, between 2005 and 2009 won the Region 9 floor exercise championship in 2006 a letterwinner in diving in high school finished fourth in the New Mexico State Swimming and Diving Championships.
Personal: Born March 11, 1992 Accounting major son of Terry and Renee Kern brother of Mia and Andy father Terry was on USA Olympics team for ski jumping earned USAG All-America Scholar-Athlete honors member of National Honor Society and Student Senate.

Minnesota Tops Canada, Falls to Japan and Stanford
Minnesota finished third with a score of 405.600 in a quad-meet with the Japanese National Team (425.800), Stanford (421.550) and the Canadian National Team (392.700) on Saturday night.

Minnesota will travel this weekend to compete against Stanford, and the National Teams from both Japan and Canada.
Day Two: Winter Cup Challenge
Stephens finished 23rd in the all-around competition, while alum Mannon finished fifth on pommel horse. Incoming freshman Wiskus also competed in the all-around finals, finishing 12th.
