Three former Gophers have advanced to the final stages in their respective Qualifying Schools for the PGA Tour and European Tour.

Victor Almstrom finished in fourth place in the Second Qualifying Stage for the European Tour. He shot rounds of 70-70-70-71 at Arcos Gardens in Jerez, Spain to advance to the Final Qualifying Stage at PGA Golf Catalunya in Girona, Spain. The tournament will take place from November 28, 2009 to December 3, 2009.

James McLean also qualified for the Final Qualifying Stage for the European Tour after finishing in sixth place at Costa Ballena, also in Spain. McLean shot rounds of 71-68-67-72 to move on to PGA Golf Catalunya with Almstrom.

Bronson La’Cassie qualified for the final stage of Q-School in the United States after finishing in fourth place at Callaway Gardens-Mountain View Golf Course in Pine Mountain, GA. La’Cassie opened with rounds of 69 and 72, but shot up the leaderboard with final two rounds of 67 and 66. The former Gopher will look to gain his PGA Tour Card during the final stage at Bear Lakes CC in West Palm Beach, FL. The tournament will take place December 2-7, 2009.
