Gophers Finish Fourth at The Prestige at PGA WEST
The University of Minnesota men's golf team finished fourth at The Prestige at PGA WEST in La Quinta, Calif. The Gophers fired a final round 290 for a tournament score of 6-over 870, 21 shots behind tournament titleist Stanford.
The Gophers were led by freshman Ben Pisani with a career best fourth-place finish. Pisani fired a 1-under 71 today and recorded a 54-hole best 5-under-par 211. Senior Niall Turner tied for 15th at even-par 216 after a 72 on Tuesday. Senior Bronson La'Cassie carded a third round 75 and tied for 27th at 6-over 222. Junior Clayton Rask also carded a final round 75 and tied for 35th at 8-over 224. Sophomore Victor Almstrom shot his best round of the tournament with a final round 72 and tied for 48th at 12-over 228.
The Gophers are back in action next week at the Big Ten vs. Pac 10 Challenge at Bandon Dunes in Oregon.
