The defending NCAA champs shot their second consecutive round of 288 for an event total of 576 to stay at even-par for the tournament. The Golden Gophers are 26 strokes behind first place Clemson.
Junior Simon Nash (Pullenvale, Brisbane/St. Joseph's) moved up to 13th place after a round of 71 (-1) for a two-day total of 143 (72-71). Junior Justin Smith (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Township) and senior Matt Anderson (Edina, Minn./Edina) both shot 2-under-par 70 in the second round. Smith is tied for 15th at even par for the tournament and Anderson stands in 21st at +1. Senior Wilhelm Schauman (Djursholm, Sweden/Victor Rydberg) carded a 77 and dropped to 35th place at +5, and junior David Morgan (Rochester, Minn./Robert Louis Stevenson) slipped to 32nd (+4) after a 78 in round two.
The Topy Cup concludes tomorrow.
