HoUniversity of Minnesota men’s golfer Bronson La’Cassie was named PING Third Team All-America by the Golf Coaches Association of America. La’Cassie, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, was named Honorable Mention last season. It is the fifth straight season a Gopher has been named to one of the All-America teams.
La’Cassie was named First Team All-Big Ten in May and was ranked No. 29 on the Golfweek College Individual Rankings. He led the team with a 72.11 stroke average and finished the year 13-over par in 12 tournaments. His season stroke average is the third best mark since 1979. He trails only the top two marks in Gopher golf history by James McLean; 70.89 in 1998-99 and 71.39 in 1997-98.
