The University of Minnesota men's golf program is one of the most consistently successful collegiate golf programs in the country. Here is a list detailing some of Minnesota's fine accomplishments: One of just five programs in the country to have two top three national finishes in the last five yearsSeven NCAA Championship appearances since 1998 - the most of any Northern School14 consecutive trips to NCAA Regionals 2002 NCAA Team Champions Back to Back Big Ten Champions (2002 & 2003) 6 Big Ten Titles - 1929, 1938, 1963, 1972, 2002, 2003 All-Americans - 18 since 1993 NCAA Regional Medalists - Rob Kerr (1996) and
Justin Smith (2002) NCAA Individual Champions - Louis Lick (1944) and
James McLean (1998) Individual Big Ten Titles (6) Les Bolstad Award Winners, including Bronson La'Cassie in 2006

World Class Golf Facilities Two 18-hole championship golf courses - the Tournament Players Course of the Twin Cities and the Les Bolstad University Course A first class, 20-acre learning center with three-sided range, bunkers and seven practice greens, four par-3 holes located in our practice facility.
We have over 80 golf courses in the Twin Cities at our disposal, and play Hazeltine National (host of the U.S Open and U.S PGA
Championship) and Interlachen Country Club (host of 1993 Walker Cup and 2002 Solheim Cup) weekly. Both courses are ranked in the Top 100 U.S. Courses by Golf Magazine.

Needless to say, Minnesota has some of the greatest golf courses in the country. We have 12 courses that have hosted national golf events, Women's Open, tour events and many top amateur tournaments. In fact, the University of Minnesota recently hosted the 1999 NCAA Golf Championships at Hazeltine National!
