The Golden Gopher men's golf team is set to play in the Hawkeye Invitational April 12-13 in Iowa City. Minnesota recently finished second at Oregon's Duck Invitational, led by Jose Mendez, who tied for medalist honors.

The lineup: Mendez, Jon Trasamar, Alex Gaugert, Jon DuToit and Matt Rachey make up the Gophers' travel squad for the weekend. Minnesota tied for third at last year's Hawkeye Invitational. Gaugert entered the final round tied for first and ended up finishing fourth.
The field: Five Big Ten teams will play in the Hawkeye Invitational as Michigan State, Wisconsin and Nebraska join the Gophers and host Iowa. Washington State, Kansas, Iowa State, Denver, Marquette, Northern Illinois and DePaul round out the field.
The course: Finkbine Golf Course is a par-72 course playing at 7,239 yards. It is the home course of Iowa's men's and women's golf teams.
