fThe University of Minnesota men's golf team moved up 11 spots in the final 36 holes to tie for fourth at the Augusta State Invitational in Augusta, Ga. The Gophers fired round of 296-306 Sunday to finish 26 shots behind the tournament titleist Augusta State.

The Gophers were led by sophomore Bronson La'Cassie. La'Cassie recorded his second straight top-10 finish tying for fifth at 8-over 224. The Brisbane, Australia native fired rounds of 71 and 75 Sunday. Senior Ben Greve carded a third round 74 to tie for 17th at 13-over 229. Junior Josh Persons fired a 73 in round two and tied for 32nd 18-over 234. Sophomore Niall Turner tied for 49th at 237 and junior Ryan Paulson tied for 70th at 242.

The Gophers are back in action on Apr. 16-17 at the Boilermaker Invitational.
