Gophers Travel to Duck Invitational

Coming off of its second tournament win of the season, the University of Minnesota men’s golf team will play in Oregon’s 25th Annual Duck Invitational on Monday, March 24 and Tuesday, March 25 in Creswell, Ore. There will be 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday.

After a 72-hole intrasquad qualifier, Matt Rachey earned a spot on the Gophers' Duck Invitational travel team, joining Jose Mendez, Alex Gaugert, Jon Trasamar and Jon DuToit.

The field: Joining the Gophers and host Oregon are Air Force, Boise State, Colorado, Gonzaga, Idaho, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Oregon State, Pacific, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Saint Mary’s, Utah and Wyoming.

The course: Emerald Valley Golf Course plays at a par of 72 and at 7,165 yards.

Notes: *The Gophers’ two wins this season were their first since the 2006-07 season, when they also won two tournaments.
