The University of Minnesota men's golf team is in ninth place after two rounds of the Southern Highlands Collegiate Championship in Las Vegas, Nev. The Gophers shot a second round 303 and trail tournament leader Georgia by 14 shots heading into tomorrow's final round at the par 72, 7,510-yard Southern Highlands Golf Club.

Individually, senior Bronson LaCassie fired a second round 74 and is tied for 10th at 1-over 144. Senior Niall Turner matched La'Cassie's 74 in round two and is tied for 14th at 3-over 146. Junior Clayton Rask battled back after an 82 in round one with a second round 75. He is tied for 71st with teammate sophomore Victor Almstrom at 14-over 157. Freshman Ben Pisani carded an 80 Saturday and is tied for 57uth at 11-over 154.

Minnesota will next participate in the Schenkel Invitational on March 17-18 in Statesboro, Ga.
