iLed by sophomores Ben Meyers and Wilhelm Schauman, the 22nd-ranked Minnesota men's golf team remained in fourth place after the second round of the Puerto Rico Classic in at Rio Mar Country Club in Palmer, P.R. Meyers and Schauman each shot under par for a 36-hole total of 143 (-1) to move into fourth place in the 54-hole event. The tournament, hosted by Purdue University, concludes Tuesday.

Following his first round even par 72, Meyers, a native of Frankston, Victoria in Australia, shot a one under 71 to remain in the hunt for the individual title. Schauman, of Djursholm, Sweden, shot a two under par 70 after firing a one over 73 on the first day of competition. Clemson's Lucas Glover remains in the lead with a two-day total of 138 (-6). Freshman Simon Nash also remained in the top 10 at 145 (+1) with his second round 71 to follow his first day 74.

As a team, Minnesota is alone in fourth place with a two-day total of 585 (+9). The Golden Gophers are six strokes behind top-ranked Georgia and third-ranked Georgia Tech who lead the tournament at three over par 579. Second-ranked Clemson, the day one leader, falls to third at 580.
