Junior Alex Gaugert Contributed a Career Weekend and Finished Fourth Individually
2012-13 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Appeared in seven tournaments for a combined 21 rounds of golf team counted 16 of 21 rounds (.762) recorded a season-low round of 70 at the U.S. Intercollegiate finished the U.S. Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 218, the lowest total of his collegiate career tied for 10th at the Rutherford Invitational, the first top-10 finish of his career was in the lineup for the Gophers at the Big Ten Championships and finished in a tie for 25th letterwinner.
2011-12 FRESHMAN SEASON: Appeared in six tournaments on the season made his collegiate debut at the season-opening Gopher Invitational finished the season with a stroke average of 76.38 team counted 13 of his 18 rounds on the season shot a season-best score of 222 (+9) at the FAU Spring Break Invitational letterwinner.
JUNIOR/AMATEUR PLAY: 2010 and 2011 Minnesota PGA Players' Tour Match Play champion member of the 2011 Minnesota PGA Junior Cup (Minnesota-Wisconsin) team golfed with the 2010 MGA Minnesota-Manitoba Junior Cup team.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Wayzata High School team won Minnesota State High School League Class 3A, section, and Classic Lake Conference titles three years in a row (2009-11) two-time all-state honoree, tying for second individually in 2010, and third in 2011 holds school record for most medalist honors in a single golf season (11) three-time letterwinner academic all-state in 2010 and 2011.
PERSONAL: Born February 27, 1993 son of David and Jana Lowenstein has a younger brother, Zackery enjoys playing piano and guitar intends to major in economics and minor in statistics.
