Legendary Gopher quarterback Rickey Foggie will be remembered as one of the great players in Gopher history, but one of his most memorable games came Nov. 15, 1986 when his Gophers upset then-No. 2 Michigan 20-17 at the Big House in Ann Arbor. The win was Minnesota's first against the Wolverines' since 1977 and helped the Gophers earn a berth in the Liberty Bowl that season.
