Golden Gopher Football fans will be getting inside access to the team on FOX Sports North throughout the month of August. "Gopher Undercover: Behind the Scenes of the Jerry Kill Era" will premiere Wednesday, August 10.
"Having a video crew with us 24/7 gives Gopher fans a feel for who we are and what we stand for," Kill said. "I like to say `I hear what you say, but I'll trust what you do.' These shows will allow our fans to see what we do from behind the scenes. We allowed the crew to film everything- team meetings, practice, player discipline - we have nothing to hide. The TV shows and weekly webisodes will give our fans an understanding of how hard we will work and how passionate we are to be successful at the University of Minnesota."
The show will air for four consecutive weeks, following Twins Post-Game Live on FOX Sports North.
These shows are being produced by 3 Penny Films, in conjunction with the University of Minnesota Department of Athletics. In addition to the television shows, 3 Penny Films has been producing a series of webisodes, which have appeared on YouTube, Facebook and GopherSports.com.
3 Penny Films had members of its staff embedded with Gopher Football throughout spring practice and at times throughout the spring and summer. The 3 Penny cameras will also be rolling throughout preseason camp for even more behind-the-scenes footage from the first year of the Jerry Kill Era.
