Minnesota’s first game under head coach P.J. Fleck is against Buffalo on Aug. 31 at TCF Bank Stadium and will begin at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. The Gophers are 1-0 all-time against the Bulls, as they posted a 41-17 home win in 2002.
The Maroon and Gold will play Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 16 at TCF Bank Stadium. That game will start at 2:30 p.m. and will also be broadcast by the Big Ten Network. Minnesota is 2-0 against the Blue Raiders, having posted a road win in 2010 and a home win in 2014.
Minnesota now knows the start time for four games this season, as it was previously announced that the Gophers will play at 9 p.m. at Oregon State on Sept. 9. It was also announced that Minnesota’s Homecoming game – the 97th in Gopher history, but first under Fleck – will start at either 2:30 or 3 p.m. on Oct. 21 against Illinois.
