Was on a walk-on at Iowa in the spring of 2017 after competing in professional hockey for three years • played varsity football for two years for Bishop Miege High School • helped team reach state playoffs as a junior and the state championship game as a senior • recorded 35 receptions for 478 yards and two touchdowns in his senior season • earned four letters in hockey and one in baseball • earned regional MVP honors as prep hockey team won the state championship.

PERSONAL: Born on January 18, 1995 • son of Yale and Kristina Van Dyne • has one brother (Harry) and one sister (Mary-Kate) • father, Yale, played college football for the University of Michigan and brother, Harry, is a wide receiver at Minnesota.
