2017 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Started six games and played in all twelve • recorded 13 tackles, two sacks, forced one fumble and had three pass defelctions. Game-by-Game: Started against Buffalo and made one tackle and one pass breakup • saw action against Oregon State and Middle Tennessee • recorded two tackles and two pass breakups against Maryland • saw action against Purdue and Michigan State • had two tackles and a strip sack against Illinois • notched one tackle against Iowa • saw action against Michigan • registered one sack against Nebraska • forced one fumble and notched four tackles including one for a loss against Northwestern • tallied two tackles against Wisconsin.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Howard High School, where he helped the Lions (12-1) win the Howard County championship and make the state semifinals • played his entire senior season as a 16-year-old • named the Baltimore Sun’s 2014 All-Metro Defensive Player of the Year and the Howard County Times and Columbia Flier Football Defensive Player of the Year • earned first-team all-state honors • led a defense that held opponents to 7.5 points per game and shut out five teams • recorded 101 tackles and 38 quarterback hurries as a senior • his 42 tackles-for-loss included 17.5 sacks • also recorded one interception, one fumble recovery and one touchdown • coached by Bruce Strunk • also lettered in track and basketball • received three stars from 247Sports and was listed as a two-star prospect by Rivals.
