2011 JUNIOR SEASON:
Started at defensive end in eight games, while seeing action in all 12 recorded 16 tackles (10 solo, six assisted) with three tackles-for-loss ranked second on team with 3.0 sacks forced one fumble earned third varsity letter.
Game-by-Game: Recorded a pair of solo tackles in season opener at USC (9/3) started in the home opener vs. New Mexico State (9/10) came off the bench to tally two tackles (one solo, one assist) in 29-23 victory versus Miami (Ohio) (9/17) appeared in 37-24 loss to North Dakota State (9/24) garnered three solo, one sack and forced a fumble in Big Ten opener at Michigan (10/1) tallied one solo tackle in loss at Purdue (10/8) saw action vs. Nebraska (10/22) recorded a sack in 22-21 victory over Iowa (10/29) tallied one tackle in 31-24 loss at Michigan State (11/5) started at defensive end vs. Wisconsin (11/12) notched career-high five tackles (two solo, three assists) and one sack in 28-13 loss at Northwestern (11/19) assisted on one tackle in 27-7 victory over Illinois (11/26).
2010 SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Earned eight starting nods this season at defensive end and appeared in all 12 games made 14 total tackles (10 solo) and one sack for a three-yard loss earned second varsity letter.
Game-by-Game: started but did not record any statistics against MTSU (9/2) recorded three tackles against South Dakota (9/11) including one for a loss made two solo stops against USC (9/18) including one for a loss started against Northern Illinois (9/25) but did not record an stats tallied first sack of the season against Northwestern (10/2) as one of two solo stops against the Wildcats recorded one solo stop against Wisconsin (10/9) appeared against Purdue (10/16) but did not record any statistics made four solo stops against Penn State (10/23) did not record any stats against Ohio State (10/30) made two tackles (one solo) against Michigan State (11/6).
2009 FRESHMAN SEASON:
Earned Freshman All-Big Ten honors from The Sporting News and Second-Team Freshman All-America honors from Phil Steele three of his four tackles on the season were sacks recovered two fumbles and forced one fumble returned a fumble recovery for a score against South Dakota State, recording the Gophers' only touchdown of the contest saw action in 11 games earned first varsity letter member of the Big Ten All-Academic Team.
