HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Cedar Falls High School • played at Becker High School in Minnesota for two years before his family moved to Iowa • was a long snapper all four years of his high school career, but also played safety and quarterback at Cedar Falls • was a captain his senior year and helped lead his team to an 8-3 overall record and a 4-1 mark in conference play • named All-Metro as a quarterback • completed 39 passes for 630 yards and six touchdowns as a senior • also rushed for one touchdown • completed 53 passes for 799 yards and six touchdowns as a junior • rushed for 50 yards and one score • coached by Brad Remmert during his senior year and was coached by Pat Mitchell as a junior • played basketball at Becker, but did not play at Cedar Falls • received a five-star ranking and was listed as the No. 7 long snapper in the nation by Kohl’s.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 29, 1996 • son of Denny Hansen and Tracy Cherney • has one sister (Teagan) • father, Denny, played football at Northern Iowa.
