HIGH SCHOOL: Attends East St. Louis High School in East St. Louis, Ill. • wore No. 5 for the Flyers • started at quarterback leading East St. Louis to a 14-0 record capped off by a state championship victory • threw for 2,464 yards and 26 touchdowns and ran for 515 and eight touchdowns his senior year while also catching two touchdown passes • named First Team All-Southwestern and was named First Team All-State • three-star recruit by Scout, 247 and ESPN and a two-star recruit by Rivals • Scout ranked him the No. 2 quarterback in Illinois and the No. 12 signal-caller in the Midwest • ESPN listed him as the No. 17 recruit in Illinois and as the No. 30 dual-threat quarterback in his class, while 247 Sports tabbed him as the No. 31 prospect in Illinois and as the No. 94 athlete in the nation • coached by Darren Sunkett.
