Fall Academic All-Big Ten teams boast several Gopher Standouts
2011 SENIOR SEASON: Played in 10 games with four starts at right guard earned fourth varsity letter named Academic All-Big Ten.
Game-by-Game: in the starting lineup at right guard for season-opener at Southern California (9/3) helped lead an offensive line which helped offense gain 20 first downs against the Trojans started second game of season against New Mexico State (9/10) helped rushing attack that racked up 236 yards in victory over Miami (Ohio) (9/17) started at right guard against North Dakota State (9/24) saw action at Michigan (10/1) saw action at Purdue (10/8) played as a reserve against Nebraska (10/22) made an appearance vs. Wisconsin (11/12) saw action in Northwestern game (11/19) saw action against Illinois (11/26) on Senior Day.
2010 JUNIOR SEASON: Started three games this season at tackle, Northwestern (10/2), Michigan State (11/6) and Illinois (11/13) earned third varsity letter was part of an offensive line that paved the way for three rushing touchdowns in victory over Illinois that broke nine-game losing streak.
2009 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Made first appearance of the season in the 35-21 loss to No. 8 Cal on 9/19 appeared in the 35-24 win at Northwestern on 9/26 while the offense totaled 166 yards rushing and 352 yards of total offense appeared in the 31-28 loss to Wisconsin on 10/3 as the offense gained 15 first downs, 271 yards passing and 328 total yards saw action in the 38-7 loss to No. 18 Ohio State on 10/24 started at guard in the 16-13 win over South Dakota State on 11/14 earned second varsity letter member of the Big Ten All-Academic Team.
2008 FRESHMAN SEASON: Up-and-coming young offensive lineman appeared in all 13 games made six starts at left guard drew a start in his first collegiate game vs. Northern Illinois (8/30) came off the bench for the next six games returned to the starting lineup at Purdue (10/25) and started the final five games of the regular season helped the Gopher offense average 322.9 yards and 23.2 points per game part of an offense that generated 2,848 passing yards, the fifth-most in school history scholar-athlete award winner earned first letter.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2007 graduate of Eden Prairie High School (Minn.) high school coach was Mike Grant three-star recruit ranked as the 42nd-best offensive guard in the nation and the seventh-best player in Minnesota by Rivals ranked the 80th-best offensive guard in the nation and the ninth-best player in Minnesota by Scout selected to the SuperPrep Midwest Team as the 83rd-best player named to the PrepStar Midwest Region Team was a 2006 first team Associated Press All-State selection selected to the Star Tribune All-Metro Team in 2006 led Eagles to an 11-2 mark as a junior, helping his team advance to the Class 5A semifinals also competed in track and field at Eden Prairie, competing in the shot put.
