Game-by-Game: returned to the Gophers lineup against MTSU (9/2) as a red-shirt freshman after missing most of 2009 with mononucleosis • recorded three punts totaling 116 yards in the 24-17 win over the Blue Raiders including a booming 51-yard punt on his first attempt of the season that was only two yards off his career long • held MTSU without a punt return with two free catches and a touchback • recorded one 37-yard punt against South Dakota (9/11) • notched seven punts against USC (9/18) totaling 271 yards including a career-long 54-yard boot • put three kicks inside the 20 and forced one touchback against the Trojans • made six punts for 208 total yards against Northwestern (10/2) • booted four punts against Wisconsin (10/9) for a total of 153 yards • sent six punts for 215 yards against Purdue (10/16) • made six punts for 244 yards against Penn State (10/23) • made four punts for 138 yards against Ohio State (10/30) • made three punts for 108 yards against Michigan State (11/6), landing one inside the 20 • sent six punts for 196 yards against Illinois (11/13) including landing three inside the 20 • sent four punts off against Iowa (11/27) for 150 total yards, placing two inside the 20-yard line.

2009: Earned starting punter role in fall camp • punted in the first two games of the season, before being diagnosed with mononucleosis, which held him out for the remainder of the season and resulted in a redshirt year • averaged 44.6 yards per punt on nine kicks in two games • two of his nine punts went for 50 yards or more • three of his nine punts pinned Minnesota's opponent inside its own 20-yard line.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team all-state honors for the Brother Rice High School Crusaders in 2008 • named All-Catholic League as a senior • two-time all-area selection (2007, 2008) • three-year starter at punter for Brother Rice • averaged 39.3 yards per punt with a net average of 38.9 • had 13 of his 29 punts (44.8 percent) downed inside the 20-yard line • nine punts (31 percent) were downed inside the 10-yard line • coached by Steve Nye.
