2013 • SENIOR SEASON: Made his season debut against UNLV • did not compete in the next four games as he was limited by an ankle injury • returned to action at Michigan where he competed on special teams • saw time at left tackle at Northwestern • started his first game of the season at left tackle against Nebraska and blocked for a unit that generated 430 yards of total offense (271 rushing yards) • protected for an offense that totaled 573 yards at Indiana and 381 yards against Penn State • started against Wisconsin and at Michigan State where he helped the Gophers become the second team to rush for more than 100 yards (124 yards) against the Spartans.

2012 • JUNIOR SEASON: Played in nine games, starting the first six and final three at left tackle • missed four straight games in the middle of the season with an injury. Game-by-Game: Provided protection at UNLV as Minnesota totaled a season-high 478 yards (209 rushing, 269 passing) • helped pave the way for the Gophers to rush for a season-high 240 yards against New Hampshire • part of a protection unit that allowed Minnesota to pass for 217 yards and four touchdowns vs. Western Michigan • blocked for an offense that rushed for 222 yards vs. Texas Tech • named Academic All-Big Ten.

2011 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in all 12 games and had 10 starts at left tackle • named Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Started at left tackle in season-opener at USC • helped produce offensive output of five yards per play vs. Trojans • started at left tackle against New Mexico State and helped lead way to season-high 419 yards of total offense • helped pave way for Gophers' 236 yards rushing in win over Miami (Ohio) • started at left tackle against North Dakota State • started at left tackle at Michigan • started at left tackle at Purdue • made 15th career start at left tackle vs. Nebraska • started at left tackle vs. Iowa • started at left tackle at Michigan State • part of protection unit that allowed Gophers to pass for season-high 295 yards vs. Spartans • started his 18th career game at left tackle vs. Wisconsin • saw action as a reserve against Northwestern • part of an offensive line that paved the way for a season-high 269 yards rushing vs. the Wildcats • saw action at left tackle against Illinois.

2010 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Started eight games in 2010 at left tackle. Game-by-Game: Earned the start in the season-opening, 24-17 win at Middle Tennessee State • offense accounted for school record 45:34 of possession time, accounted for 27 first downs and 281 rushing yards vs. Blue Raiders • started in losses to South Dakota, Southern California and Northern Illinois • saw action in loss to Northwestern • returned to starting lineup vs. Wisconsin, Purdue and Penn State • saw action as a reserve vs. Ohio State • started in the loss at Michigan State.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2009 graduate of Mahtomedi High School • led his team to Class 4A state runner-up finish as a junior in 2007 • earned 2008 first-team all-state honors from the AP, St. Paul Pioneer Press and the Minnesota Football Coaches Association • earned all-metro honors from the Minneapolis Star Tribune • named honorable mention all-state by the AP following his junior season • was a three-year starter • anchored an offensive line that paved the way for a back-to-back 2,000-yard rusher • three-year letterwinner • named team's most valuable lineman as a junior and senior • served as a team captain in 2008 • coached by Dave Muetzel.
