OVERVIEW: Earned three-star rankings from both ESPN and Rivals.com • ranked the No. 38 player in the State of Alabama and the No. 95 athlete in the nation by ESPN • received a two-star designation from Scout.com • played quarterback in high school, but shows potential to be a playmaker at wide receiver or even safety • dangerous as a runner, despite being a pass-first quarterback as a prep • good elusiveness, initial burst and explosiveness as a runner • very good speed and change-of-direction skills.

HIGH SCHOOL: Currently attends Murphy High School • helped lead his team to a 22-12 record over the past three seasons • earned all-state honorable mention honors from the Alabama Sports Writers Association • 70-of-123 passing for 1,122 yards, 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions as a senior • rushed for 1,041 yards and eight TDs on 186 carries in 2011 • also saw time at wide receiver as a senior, snagging 10 receptions for 199 yards and three scores • missed much of junior season with injury • 74-of-143 passing for 1,126 yards and 10 touchdowns with four interceptions as a sophomore • rushed 91 times for 446 yards and four scores in 2009 • coached by Ronn Lee.
