Made appearances in all 12 games including seven starts at wide receiver • tallied 42 catches for 587 yards • hauled in five touchdowns through the air • also had 119 rushing yards on 23 carries while completing two of eight passes for 24 yards in 2010 • earned second varsity letter.

Game-by-Game: Appeared as a reserve against Middle Tennessee State (9/2) • only reception against the Blue Raiders was a 22-yard catch that set up a Minnesota field goal • earned second-career start against South Dakota (9/11) and led the receiving corps with nine catches for 91 yards • one of three Gophers receivers to haul in a touchdown pass against the Coyotes • also lead the team in receiving against USC with four catches for 98 yards including a 22-yard touchdown reception with 11 seconds remaining in the game • also recorded a career-long 37-yard reception during Minnesota's first scoring drive against the Trojans • again led the Gophers in receiving against Northern Illinois (9/25), breaking the 100-yard mark for the first time in his career • tallied eight catches for 117 yards with one touchdown against the Huskies in his second start of the season • posted two catches for a total of eight yards against Northwestern (10/2) • recorded two receptions for 13 yards against Wisconsin (10/9) including a nine-yard touchdown reception at the end of the first half • caught a two-point conversion attempt from Adam Weber with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter against Purdue (10/16) for his only statistic against the Boilermakers • hauled in seven catches against Penn State (10/23) for 83 yards including a 25-yard pickup • led Minnesota with three catches for 81 yards against Ohio State (10/30) • completed 2-of-6 passes for 24 yards against Michigan State (11/6) • also ran for 31 yards on five carries and caught one pass -a nine-yard touchdown reception that would be Minnesota's only score of the game against the Spartans • gained 40 net yards on the ground against Illinois (11/13) on 10 carries • also caught two passes for 32 yards and made one unsuccessful pass attempt against the Illini • tallied his first career rushing touchdown in Minnesota's win over Iowa (11/27) while racking up 39 rushing yards on eight carries • led the Gophers through the air with three catches for 33 yards.

2009 • FRESHMAN SEASON:
Saw action as both a quarterback and wide receiver during his freshman season • had a breakout game against Ohio State going 5-of-6 passing for 51 yards and tossing his first TD pass, all career highs • also had a career day running ball against Ohio State with career highs of 11 carries and 81 yards • scored his first collegiate touchdown on a reception against Cal • with 265 yards rushing, he ended the regular season as the team's fourth-leading rusher • earned first varsity letter.

Game-by-Game: Appeared in first career game as a Golden Gopher in the season opening 23-20 overtime win at Syracuse (9/5) • rushed two times for 15 yards in the 20-13 win over Air Force (9/12) • scored his first career touchdown in the 35-21 loss to No. 8 Cal (9/19), when he lined up as a wide receiver and caught a seven-yard TD pass from Eric Decker to tie the game at 21-21 in the third quarter • in the 35-24 win at Northwestern (9/26) rushed five times for 33 yards including a long of 18 • in the 35-20 win over Purdue, attempted his first career pass and rushed once for one yard • appeared in the 20-0 loss at No. 14 Penn State (10/17), did not tally any statistics • in the 38-7 loss to No. 18 Ohio State (10/24) rushed for a team, and career-high 81 yards, including a long of 27 and completed 5-of-6 passes for 51 yards and the Gophers only touchdown on a pass to Troy Stoudermire • in the 42-34 win over Michigan State (10/31), carried the ball eight times for 23 yards • in the 16-13 win over South Dakota State (11/14) rushed seven times for 47 yards to average a game-best 7.8 yards per carry • in the 12-0 loss to Iowa (11/21), finished as the team's second leading rusher with 23 yards on seven carries • caught two passes for 37 yards, ran for 34 yards (an average of 11.3 yards per carry) and was 1-of-2 passing for 11 yards vs. Iowa State at the Insight Bowl.

Attended Ben Davis High School, where he was a three-year starter • rated as a four-star prospect by Rivals • also the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Indiana by Rivals • received four stars from Scout, which ranks him as the nation's No. 14 high school quarterback • ESPN.com's No. 13 quarterback nationally • selected to participate in the Elite 11 Quarterback Camp • played in the prestigious U.S. Army All-American Bowl, completing 3-of-7 passes for 56 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 41 yards and a TD • missed the majority of his senior season after suffering a broken bone in his non-throwing arm • saw action in just five games during 2007, including three after returning from the injury • connected on 26-of-41 passes for 376 yards and three touchdowns • also rushed for 302 yards on 64 carries with four TDs and caught five passes for 86 yards and a score • completed 73 of 140 passes for 1,113 yards and 12 touchdowns as a junior, while rushing for 603 yards and seven touchdowns on 127 carries • earned honorable mention Class 5A all-state honors • won the Giants' starting quarterback job midway through his sophomore year in 2005 and ended the season with 959 yards passing • coached by Coach Mike Kirschner.
