Marcus Wasilewski was named an assistant strength coach at Minnesota in January 2017.
Wasilewski comes to Minnesota after serving as an assistant strength coach at Western Michigan for one season.
Prior to his time at Western Michigan, Wasilewski worked at his alma mater, Maine, as a member of the sports performance staff. He joined the staff full-time in the summer of 2015 after serving in an interim role for three months.
After graduating from Maine in 2013, Wasilewski spent 2014 achieving his Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification and working as a graduate assistant of exercise physiology with the Black Bears.
Wasilewski was a first-team All-Conference quarterback at Maine and led the football team to a Colonial Athletic Association championship in 2013. He set career records in multiple categories including completions in a season (276), passing yards in a season (3,238), career pass completion percentage (.646) and most yards of total offense in a season (3,770).
