HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Hickman High School • helped lead Hickman to its first state playoff berth since 2004 as a senior • earned Class 6A First-Team All-State honors following the 2011 season • also an all-district selection following his senior campaign for the Kewpies • second-team all-state selection as a junior • recorded 67 total tackles, including 22 tackles-for-loss and 12.5 sacks in his final season of prep football • also tallied five forced fumbles and recovered four loose balls in 2011 • saw action as a tight end/wide receiver as well during his senior season, catching five touchdown passes • tallied 75 tackles, 7.5 sacks, four blocked kicks and three forced fumbles as a junior • coached by Arnel Munroe.
