2017 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Has played in all five games • has recorded 14 tackles including three for a loss of seven yards, one interception and one fumble recovery. Game-by-Game: Had one stuff behind the line for a loss of two yards against Buffalo • notched two tackles, one sack and recovered one fumble against Oregon State • tallied one tackle for a loss of three yards against Middle Tennessee • recorded three tackles against Maryland • was all over the field against Purdue with seven tackles and a red zone interception. 

Played in 13 games and made one start • recorded 10 tackles, made one interception and recoverd one fumble. Game-by-Game: Made his collegiate debut against Oregon State and broke up one pass and recovered one fumble • made two tackles including a half of a sack (the first of his career) against Indiana State • made first career start against Colorado State and tallied two tackles • saw action against Penn State • recorded first career interception in the fourth quarter against Iowa • made one tackle against Maryland and one against Rutgers • saw action against Illinois • notched one tackle against Purdue • competed against Nebraska, Northwestern and Wisconsin • recorded three tackles against Washington State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Burnsville High School • played quarterback and safety for the Blaze • led the team to a 9-2 overall mark and a 7-1 mark in conference competition last season • named Associated Press First Team All-State as an all-purpose contributor • named a finalist for Mr. Football in the state of Minnesota • as a senior, he completed 63 of 117 passes for 877 yards and nine touchdowns, while also rushing for 400 yards on 88 carries and scored eight times • on defense, he finished with 79 tackles, two forced fumbles, an interception and 13 pass breakups • paced a defense that pitched two shutouts and held the opposition to 10 or fewer points in seven of 11 games • coached by Tyler Krebs.
