2016 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in four games and made two tackles. Game-by-Game: Played against Oregon State and registered his first collegiate tackle • played against Indiana State and made one tackle • saw action against Colorado State and Illinois.
2015 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in one game, as he made his Minnesota and collegiate debut against Kent State where he played on special teams • moved from tight end to defensive end during the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Theodore High School • rushed 77 times for 509 yards, while also catching 18 passes for 280 yards and seven touchdowns • passed for three touchdowns as a senior • notched 18 tackles on defense including five sacks • broke up two passes, caused three fumbles and also recovered one fumble • coached by Eric Collier • ESPN listed him as a three-star recruit, 19th best tight end/H-back recruit in the country and the No. 29 player in Alabama • 247Sports ranked him as a three-star prospect, the 47th-best player in Alabama and the No. 61 tight end in the nation • received two-star rating from Scout and Rivals • lettered in basketball.
PERSONAL: Born Feb. 5, 1996 • son of Jerry and Henrietta Gibson • has two sisters.
