Jeremy Cole was named an assistant strength coach at Minnesota in January 2017. Cole came to Minnesota after spending eight seasons at Rutgers, which included four years as the head of strength and conditioning.
At Rutgers, Cole directed all aspects of the football team's in-season and offseason training in addition. The 2015 offseason marked a banner year for the Rutgers strength and conditioning program as the Scarlet Knights broke 19 previously established school records in the weight room. The record-setting performances were a focus of the program heading into the school’s second season in the Big Ten.
In 2007, Cole was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at North Carolina in 2007 and worked with the football team. He also spent one season working with football at Kansas as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
Cole’s career began in the NFL as he worked for the Indianapolis Colts from 2005-06.
Cole played safety at the University of Findlay and was a four-year letterwinner for the Oilers.
