2012 JUNIOR SEASON: Played in 13 games and started 11 tied for third on the team in tackles (74) tied for second on the team in interceptions (2) and first in forced fumbles (3) recorded four tackles-for-loss and one sack repeated as team's Butch Nash Award winner, which honors a player for being competitive on the field and in the classroom. Game-by-Game: Made four tackles and one pass breakup at UNLV appeared as a reserve vs. New Hampshire and had three tackles assisted on two tackles against Western Michigan made one interception and tied for the team lead with 10 tackles vs. Syracuse made three tackles, including one for a loss, at Iowa assisted on two tackles against Northwestern led the team with nine tackles at Wisconsin made five tackles vs. Purdue and vs. Michigan had a team-high 10 tackles at Illinois forced two fumbles, had one sack and set a career high with 11 tackles at Nebraska returned an interception 33 yards for his first career touchdown and made seven tackles against Michigan State made three tackles and forced one fumble vs. Texas Tech.
2011 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Missed first three games due to injury but played in the final nine started games vs. North Dakota State and Michigan recorded 32 tackles (16 solo, 16 assisted) recorded one tackle-for-loss and one sack tallied one pass break-up awarded Gophers' Butch Nash Award for being competitive in the field and in the classroom earned second varsity letter named Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Did not play in first three games, due to injury tallied five tackles (two solo, three assists) in first start of the season vs. North Dakota State (9/24) recorded four tackles (one solo, three assists) at Michigan (10/1) appeared loss at Purdue (10/8) garnered two solo tackles vs. Nebraska (10/22) notched two tackles (one solo, one assist) in 22-21 victory over Iowa (10/29) tallied three tackles (one solo, two assists) with 0.5 sacks and a pass break-up in 31-24 loss at Michigan State (11/5) five tackles (four solo, one assist) in loss to Wisconsin (11/12) notched three assists and 0.5 sacks in 28-13 loss at Northwestern (11/19) recorded eight tackles (five solo, three assists) in 27-7 victory over Illinois (11/26).
2010 FRESHMAN SEASON: Appeared in all 12 games including two starts finished the year with 14 tackles (10 solo) while also recovering one fumble earned first varsity letter. Game-by-Game: made his first career start at linebacker against Northern Illinois (9/25) has made 12 total tackles (eight solo) earned starting nod against Northwestern (10/2), recovering one fumble against the Wildcats made two solo stops against Purdue (10/16) tallied one solo stop against Ohio State (10/30) made one tackles against Michigan State (11/6) contributed two solo stops in Minnesota's win over Iowa (11/27).

HIGH SCHOOL: First-team all-state selection as a senior third-team all-metro selection earned conference player of the year honors as a senior at Lutheran HS earned all-conference honors as a running back and linebacker in both his junior and senior seasons also named all-conference as a linebacker following his sophomore season also an all-district selection as a senior holds Lutheran HS records for touchdowns scored (46) and total yards two-time team MVP two-time team offensive player of the year earned honorable mention (running back) and second-team (kick returner) all-conference honors as a freshman also a standout on the basketball court was a two-time all-conference selection and a two-time team MVP on the hardwood holds No. 4 spot in school history with 611 rebounds qualified for track and field state championship meet in 2008 and 2009, earning all-state honors both seasons.
