HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Bemidji High School • helped lead his team to a 9-2 record in 2010 • Lumberjacks advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class 4A state playoffs • second-team all-state honors from the Associated Press • as a senior, he recorded 134 tackles, three sacks, nine tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery • led the state in tackles as a junior, recording 179 total stops • helped lead his team to the Class 4A quarterfinals in 2009 • coached by Troy Hendricks.
