Andy Harris was named assistant equipment manager for the Golden Gophers prior to the 2010 season. Harris joined the University of Minnesota after spending eight years at Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Harris graduated from Whitewater and was a student manager for the Warhawks under head Coach Bob Berezowitz from 2002-2004. He spent the 2005-2006 school year as an intern in the equipment room at the University of Arizona. In the summer of 2006 he returned to Whitewater to take over as the football equipment manager.

In 2009, he was in his third year in the expanded role of director of football operations. He was a part of the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 WIAC championship teams. Harris was part of teams that made four straight national championship game appearances and won NCAA Division III titles in 2007 and 2009.

Harris is engaged to Emily Floerke and the couple plans to marry in July 2013.
