2013 • FRESHMAN SEASON:
Played in nine games, mostly on special teams • played against Western Illinois, San Jose State, Iowa and at Michigan, but did not record any statistics • played on offense and special teams at Northwestern, where he had one rush • saw action against Nebraska, Wisconsin, at Michigan State and against Syracuse.

2012: Made his Minnesota and collegiate debut at UNLV where he rushed once for two yards • suffered a season-ending injury at UNLV and was granted a medical redshirt.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Mallard Creek High School • earned a four-star ranking by ESPN, which also rated him as the No. 32 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 11 player in North Carolina • helped lead his team to a 13-1 mark and a berth in the state semifinals as a senior • helped lead Mavericks to three straight I-MECK league championships • tallied 21 touchdowns with more than 50 receptions as a senior • recorded 52 receptions for more than 800 yards and 14 scores as a junior • stood out at Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, returning a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown • standout baseball player, batting .329 with two home runs and 28 RBIs as a junior • coached by Michael Palmieri.

PERSONAL: Jamel Harbison was born Jan. 19, 1994 • son of Charlie and Vada Harbison • has yet to declare a major.
