Nate Griffin is in his second season on the Golden Gopher Football staff and serves as Minnesota's offensive quality control assistant.
Griffin came to Minnesota from Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., where he served as the defensive line coach in 2011. Griffin worked with Gopher head coach Jerry Kill at Northern Illinois as a graduate assistant in 2008 and 2009, where he worked with the running backs and fullbacks.
At Minnesota, Griffin will be involved in the evaluation of recruiting film in addition to his duties in quality control.
Griffin was on staff at Northern Colorado from 2006-07, assisting in recruiting and overseeing video operations. He played at the University of Idaho from 2000-2003 and was named to the Sun Belt Conference Honor Roll in 2002.
Griffin was a student-assistant strength coach at Idaho in 2004 and then worked for one year at Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colo., as the linebackers coach.
Griffin, who holds a bachelor's degree from Idaho and a master's degree in sports administration from Northern Colorado, has one daughter with his wife Amy.
