Kyle Gergely was named the University of Minnesota's Director of Football Equipment Operations in May 2010. He oversees the complete daily operations of the program's equipment needs.
Prior to joining the Golden Gophers' staff, Gergely was the assistant equipment manager for football at Purdue University. He worked with the Boilermakers beginning in 2008. Gergely was responsible for the daily operations of the football equipment room when he worked with the Boilermakers.
Before joining the Purdue staff, Gergely was an assistant equipment manager for the San Francisco 49ers from 2006-08.
A 2006 graduate of Purdue, Gergely worked as a student manager with the Boilermaker football team from 2000-05. He got his start in the field during high school, working with the Indianapolis Colts.
Gergely and his wife Sara have two children - Addison and Cole.
