OVERVIEW: Three-star recruit according to Scout.com, Rivals.com, ESPN and 247sports.com • transferred to Minnesota from Hutchinson Community College • will have three years of eligibility as a Gopher.

ESPN ANALYSIS: Active linebacker who is most effective off the edge • runs well with good range and lateral movement • will read and react to what he sees in both run and pass support • flashes the ability to slip blocks and get to the edge for support • has long arms and strong hands to drag down ball carriers • will read quarterbacks accurately in zone drops.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Helped lead Hutchinson Community College to a 9-3 record and a win in the 2012 Salt City Bowl • made 83 tackles (25 solo), averaging 6.9 tackles a game • recorded eight tackles-for-loss • had 17 tackles (five solo) against Navarro College • recorded 3.5 sacks and broke up four passes • made one interception and returned it 34 yards for a touchdown • recovered one fumble • coached by Rion Rhoades.
