2014 • SENIOR SEASON: Started 12 of 13 games played • led team with 119 tackles (most tackles by a Gopher since Kim Royston made 123 in 2011) • led team with 10.5 tackles-for-loss and tied for team lead with 4.0 sacks • recorded one interception, three pass breakups, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries • named to the media's All-Big Ten First Team and the coaches' All-Big Ten Second Team • received the team's Carl Eller Award (outstanding defensive player) and Linebacker of the Year honors. Game-by-Game: Led team with 10 tackles, broke up one pass and notched .5 sack against Eastern Illinois • led team with 14 tackles, including one sack, and also recorded his first career interception against Middle Tennessee • tied for team lead with 11 tackles at TCU and also registered .5 tackle-for-loss • paced team with nine tackles against San Jose State and also forced one fumble, recovered one fumble and tallied one tackle-for-loss • made a team-leading seven tackles at Michigan • notched a team-high 15 tackles, including 1.5 tackles-for-loss, against Northwestern• named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week by the conference (Oct. 13) and College Sports Madness • led the team with 10 tackles and broke up one pass against Purdue • recovered a fumble and recorded 10 tackles (team-high eight solo), including a career-high 3.5 tackles-for-loss, at Illinois • notched two tackles against Iowa • made eight tackles and broke up one pass against Ohio State • made seven tackles, including two sacks, at Nebraska • made eight tackles, including .5 for a loss, at Wisconsin • made eight tackles against Missouri.

2013 • JUNIOR SEASON: Played in 13 games and started 12 • second on the team with 78 tackles • recorded 5.5 tackles-for-loss and one sack. Game-by-Game: Started and made his Minnesota debut against UNLV where he recorded seven tackles • made eight tackles, which included one sack, at New Mexico State • recorded three tackles against Western Illinois • totaled five tackles against San Jose State • tied for the team lead in solo tackles (6), tackles (10) and made one tackle-for-loss against Iowa • led team with eight tackles at Michigan, including 1.5 tackles-for-loss • tallied two solo tackles at Northwestern • made four tackles, including one for a loss, against Nebraska • made three tackles at Indiana and seven against Penn State • totaled eight tackles against Wisconsin and five at Michigan State • notched eight tackles against Syracuse.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Transferred from Jones County Community College • led team to 6-3 record and anchored a defense that allowed only 18.1 points per game • led the Mississippi Association of Community & Junior Colleges (MACJC) and was fourth in the nation with 122 tackles (76 solo) as a sophomore • posted six tackles for loss, two sacks and two pass breakups • named Most Valuable Defensive Player for Region 23, the MACJC's South Division Most Valuable Defensive Back, All-MACJC South Division first-team and All-Region 23 • recognized as the national Defensive Player of the Year by NationalUnderslassmen.com • coached by Ray Perkins • transferred to JCJC from Alcorn State University prior to his sophomore year • signed National Letter of Intent during the 2012 December signing period • enrolled and started classes in January 2013 and participated in spring practice.
