2015 • SENIOR SEASON: Played in 10 games and started eight on the offensive line • missed three games with an injury • helped Minnesota pass for 2,793 yards and 15 touchdowns and rush for 1,873 yards and 17 scores • received Minnesota's Paul Giel Award (unselfishness and most concern for Minnesota), Butch Nash Award (competitive on the field and in the classroom) and Tony Dungy Award (great character on and off the field) • was Minnesota’s recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award • Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Started at guard against TCU and protected for an offense that rushed for 144 yards and passed for 197 yards • started at guard at Colorado State, but left the game with an injury • missed the Kent State, Ohio and Northwestern games with an injury • played extensively as a reserve at Purdue and blocked for an offense that rushed for 326 yards, which was the most in a Big Ten game for Minnesota since it rushed for 327 yards on Nov. 12, 2005, against Michigan State • started at guard against Nebraska and provided protection for an offense that passed for 301 yards • saw action as a reserve against Michigan and protected for an offense that passed for 317 yards, which was the most by the Gophers since they passed for 373 yards against Northern Illinois in 2010 • started at right guard at Ohio State and provided protection for Minnesota to pass for 281 yards and two touchdowns • started at left guard at Iowa and his protection helped Minnesota pass for 301 yards and two touchdowns and rush for 133 yards and three scores against the the No. 12 defense in the nation • blocked for an offense that rushed for 255 yards and three touchdowns and passed for a score against Illinois • started against Wisconsin • started against Central Michigan and protected for an offense that passed for 223 yards and rushed for 158 yards. 

2014 • JUNIOR SEASON:
Played in the final 12 games games of the season, mostly on special teams • started at right guard against Missouri, which marked his first start on the offensive line since he started at center at Indiana on Nov. 2, 2013 (suffered season-ending injury at Indiana) • received the team's Butch Nash Award, which is presented to the person who best displays a competitive spirit on the field and in the classroom • Academic All-Big Ten and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. Game-by-Game: Competed on special teams against Middle Tennessee, which was his first game action since Nov. 2, 2013, at Indiana when he suffered a season-ending injury • played on special teams at TCU and competed against San Jose State • saw action at Michigan and against Northwestern, Purdue and at Illinois • competed against Iowa on the offense line and special teams and saw action against Ohio State • played at Nebraska and Wisconsin • started at right guard and protected for an offense that passed for 267 yards and one touchdown against Missouri.

2013 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Earned the starting ceter position and started the first nine games of the season • missed the final four games of the season after suffering a season-ending injury at Indiana • named Academic All-Big Ten and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. Game-by-Game: Helped protect for an offense that rushed for 221 yards against UNLV • blocked for an offense that rushed for 342 yards at New Mexico State • helped pave the way for Minnesota to rush for 213 yards and four touchdowns against Western Illinois • protected for an offense that rushed for 353 yards (most since 2005) and six touchdowns against San Jose State • started against Iowa and at Michigan • started at Northwestern and protected for an offense that rushed for 176 yards • blocked for an offense that generated 430 yards of total offense (271 rushing yards) in a win against Nebraska • started at Indiana, but suffered a season-ending injury in the second quarter.

2012 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in 10 games • started six games (at left guard at Iowa, vs, Northwestern and vs. Texas Tech and at center vs. Purdue, vs. Michigan and at Illinois) • named Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Made his Minnesota and collegiate debut in a reserve role against New Hampshire and helped pave the way for the Gophers to rush for a season-high 240 yards • protected for an offense that passed for a 246 yards and three touchdowns vs. Purdue • blocked for Minnesota's offense as it rushed for 231 yards at Illinois • started vs. Texas Tech as Minnesota gained 222 yards on the ground.

2011: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Standout at Minnetonka High School • helped lead Skippers to a 5-5 mark as a senior • served as a team captain during 2010 season • during his junior season, he helped lead his team to an 8-3 mark and a berth in the Class 5A Section 6 finals • coached by Dave Nelson.

PERSONAL: Born June 29, 1992 • son of Margie and Kurt Christenson • has one brother, James • has already graduated with a degree in biochemistry • pursuing a master's in public health administration and policy.
