2013 SOPHOMORE SEASON: Earned the starting ceter position and started the first nine games of the season missed the final four games of the season after suffering a season-ending injury at Indiana named Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Helped protect for an offense that rushed for 221 yards against UNLV Blocked for an offense that rushed for 342 yards at New Mexico State helped pave the wave for Minnesota to rush for 213 yards and four touchdowns against Western Illinois protected for an offense that rushed for 353 yards (most since 2005) and six touchdowns against San Jose State started against Iowa and at Michigan started at Northwestern and protected for an offense that rushed for 176 yards blocked for an offense that generated 430 yards of total offense (271 rushing yards) in a win against Nebraska started at Indiana, but suffered a season-ending injury in the second quarter.
2012 FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in 10 games started six games (at left guard at Iowa, vs, Northwestern and vs. Texas Tech and at center vs. Purdue, vs. Michigan and at Illinois) named Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Made his Minnesota and collegiate debut in a reserve role against New Hampshire and helped pave the way for the Gophers to rush for a season-high 240 yards protected for an offense that passed for a 246 yards and three touchdowns vs. Purdue blocked for Minnesota's offense as it rushed for 231 yards at Illinois started vs. Texas Tech as Minnesota gained 222 yards on the ground.
HIGH SCHOOL: Standout at Minnetonka High School helped lead Skippers to a 5-5 mark as a senior served as a team captain during 2010 season during his junior season, he helped lead his team to an 8-3 mark and a berth in the Class 5A Section 6 finals coached by Dave Nelson.
