2015 • SENIOR SEASON: Started at guard against TCU and protected for an offense that rushed for 144 yards and passed for 197 yards • started at guard at Colorado State, but left the game with an injury.
2013 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Earned the starting ceter position and started the first nine games of the season • missed the final four games of the season after suffering a season-ending injury at Indiana • named Academic All-Big Ten and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. Game-by-Game: Helped protect for an offense that rushed for 221 yards against UNLV • blocked for an offense that rushed for 342 yards at New Mexico State • helped pave the way for Minnesota to rush for 213 yards and four touchdowns against Western Illinois • protected for an offense that rushed for 353 yards (most since 2005) and six touchdowns against San Jose State • started against Iowa and at Michigan • started at Northwestern and protected for an offense that rushed for 176 yards • blocked for an offense that generated 430 yards of total offense (271 rushing yards) in a win against Nebraska • started at Indiana, but suffered a season-ending injury in the second quarter.
2012 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in 10 games • started six games (at left guard at Iowa, vs, Northwestern and vs. Texas Tech and at center vs. Purdue, vs. Michigan and at Illinois) • named Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Made his Minnesota and collegiate debut in a reserve role against New Hampshire and helped pave the way for the Gophers to rush for a season-high 240 yards • protected for an offense that passed for a 246 yards and three touchdowns vs. Purdue • blocked for Minnesota's offense as it rushed for 231 yards at Illinois • started vs. Texas Tech as Minnesota gained 222 yards on the ground.
HIGH SCHOOL: Standout at Minnetonka High School • helped lead Skippers to a 5-5 mark as a senior • served as a team captain during 2010 season • during his junior season, he helped lead his team to an 8-3 mark and a berth in the Class 5A Section 6 finals • coached by Dave Nelson.
