2013 • JUNIOR SEASON: Started the first nine games of the season at right guard • missed the final four games of the season with an injury • named Honorable Mention All-Big Ten by the coaches and media. Game-by-Game: Started against UNLV and provided protection for an offense that generated 221 rushing yards • blocked for an offense that rushed for 342 yards at New Mexico State • helped pave the wave for Minnesota to rush for 213 yards and four touchdowns against Western Illinois • protected for an offense that rushed for 353 yards (most since 2005) and six touchdowns against San Jose State • started against Iowa and at Michigan • protected for an offense that rushed for 176 yards at Northwestern • blocked for an offense that generated 430 yards of total offense (271 rushing yards) in a win against Nebraska • helped pave the way for team to rush for 248 yards and pass for 325 yards at Indiana.

2012 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in all 13 games, starting the final 11 at right guard. Game-by-Game: Made his season debut in a reserve role at UNLV and helped protect for an offense that totaled a season-high 478 yards (209 rushing, 269 passing) • helped pave the way for the Gophers to rush for a season-high 240 yards against New Hampshire • protected for an offense that passed for a 246 yards and three touchdowns vs. Purdue • blocked for Minnesota's offense as it rushed for 231 yards at Illinois • started vs. Texas Tech as Minnesota gained 222 yards on the ground.

2011 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in five games and started last four • appeared in his first college game in week eight against Iowa • started his first career game at Michigan State in week nine. Game-by-Game: made his first career appearance as a Gopher in victory against Iowa • made his first career start at Michigan State • part of protection unit that allowed Gophers to pass for season-high 295 yards vs. Spartans • started at guard against Wisconsin • started at left guard at Northwestern • part of an offensive line that paved the way for a season-high 269 yards rushing vs. the Wildcats • started at left guard vs. Illinois.

2010: Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned All-Tri Metro Conference honors as a junior and senior • named All-Metro by the Minneapolis Star Tribune in 2009 • honorable mention Associated Press all-state selection as a senior after he tallied 71 total tackles (31 solo) • registered eight tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and two fumble recoveries in 2009 • coached by Brian Brown.
