2015 Position Preview: Offensive Line

Depth and experience highlight the group of road graters and protectors.

2015 • SENIOR SEASON: Started at center against TCU and protected fro an offense that passed for 197 yards and rushed for 144 yards • started at Colorado State and protected for an offense that passed for 233 yards and rushed for 180 yards • started against Kent State and protected for an offense that gained 288 yards • protected for an offense that generated 468 total yards (204 rushing and 264 passing) against Ohio. 

Made his Minnesota debut and played in his first collegiate game since 2011 as a reserve against Eastern Illinois • saw action against San Jose State and Northwestern • Academic All-Big Ten.

2013: Did not see game action due to a medical situation.

2012 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Practiced with the team but could not compete due to NCAA transfer regulations.

2011 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Lettered at Ohio State, while playing in a couple early season games • decided to transfer to Minnesota following the 2011 season.

PERSONAL: Born March 29, 1993 • son of Jeff and Terri Bobek • father played linebacker at Iowa and mother played women's basketball for the Hawkeyes • brother Jeff played fullback at Michigan State • has already earned his degree in business and marketing education • working on his master's degree in applied kinesiology: sport management.
