2015 • SENIOR SEASON: Played in 11 games and started nine • made 48 tackles, including 1.5 tackles-for-loss • paced the team with four interceptions and returned one for a touchdown • broke up six passes and recovered a fumble • named All-Big Ten Third Team by the media and was an honorable mention selection by the conference coaches • Academic All-District • Academic All-Big Ten. 2014 • JUNIOR SEASON: Played in 13 games and started 10 • finished the year with 51 tackles, including 2.0 tackles-for-loss • registered five interceptions (tied for third all-time in single-season history) and broke up nine passes • forced two fumbles and recovered one fumble • named All-Big Ten First Team by the media and All-Big Ten Second Team by conference coaches • named the Gophers' Defense Back of the Year and received the team's Gary Tinsley Underdog Award • Academic All-Big Ten. 2013: Suffered a season-ending knee injury in the second game of the season on Sept. 7 at New Mexico State • received a medical redshirt from the NCAA. Game-by-Game: Made three tackles and returned an interception - the first of his career - 89 yards for a touchdown against UNLV • his interception return was the third longest in Gopher history (Gary Hohman 99 yards vs. Nebraska on Oct. 4, 1969 and Ed Duren 95 yards vs. Iowa on Oct. 15, 1966) • made two tackles at New Mexico State before being injured.
2012 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in all 13 games as a reserve and made nine tackles. Game-by-Game: Made his Minnesota debut at UNLV, but did not record any statistics • notched two tackles vs. New Hampshire • assisted on a tackle vs. Michigan • recorded two tackles at Nebraska • had a career high four tackles vs. Texas Tech.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Transferred from Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College • named second-team All-Jayhawk Conference as a cornerback after his only season as a Red Raven • earned Jayhawk Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors twice and Special Teams Player of the Week once • tallied 40 tackles, four interceptions, three fumble recoveries and a blocked kick • helped lead team to 6-4 mark • coached by Darian Dulin.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2010 graduate of Wilmington Delcastle Technical • earned first-team all-conference accolades as a defensive back and kick returner in 2010 • first-team all-state defensive back and second-team all-state kick returner as a senior • named first-team all-conference and third-team all-state as a defensive back following his junior season • three-time honorable mention all-conference selection as a quarterback • standout in track and field and basketball • earned all-state honors as a high jumper • two-time all-conference selection as a point guard in basketball • third-team all-state in basketball as a senior.
