Gophers return three of top four tackling linebackers from a season ago
2015 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in nine games on special teams. Game-by-Game: Made his season and collegiate debut at Colorado State • competed on special teams versus Kent State, Ohio, at Purdue, Nebraska, Michigan, at Ohio State, at Iowa and against Wisconsin.
PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Played in 12 games and made 48 tackles at Rochester Community and Technical College • made one interception and broke up two passes • caught 22 passes for 369 yards and one touchdown • rushed 11 times for 56 yards • named First Team All MCAC • joined the Gophers in summer 2015 after one year at RCTC.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Prior Lake High School • made 72 tackles as a senior and totaled 1,247 yards (810 rushing and 437 receiving) and 14 total touchdowns • was a finalist for Mr. Football in 2013 and was named First Team All-State by the AP and the Vikings • named South Suburban Conference Defensive Player of the Year, KARE-11 All Metro Team and First Team All-Metro by the Star Tribune • named all conference in 2012 and 2013 • finished his career with 1,528 rushing yards, 652 receiving yards, 24 touchdowns and 137 tackles • also lettered in baseball.
PERSONAL: Born July 16, 1996 • son of John and Laurie Weber • has one sister (Emily) • father, John, played football at Lake Forest College.
