2017 • JUNIOR SEASON: Played in all 12 games • finished the season with 30 tackles including five tackles for loss and two sacks • won the Gary Tinsley Award for the second straight year. Game-by-game: Saw action against Buffalo and made two tackles at Oregon State • notched three tackles including two for a loss of six yards against Middle Tennessee • recorded one tackle against Maryland • competed against Purdue • tallied two tackles against Michigan State • made one tackle against Illinois • recorded three tackles against Iowa • notched six tackles including one sack at Michigan • registered five tackles and one sack against Nebraska • tallied two tackles including one for a loss against Northwestern • notched five tackles against Wisconsin.
2016 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Played in all 13 games • recorded 45 tackles with a team leading 7.5 sacks and one forced fumble • earned one Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week Award and was named Holiday Bowl Defensive Most Valuable Player • honored with team's Gary Tinsley Award, as the player who best embodied the underdog spirit of the late former Gopher Gary Tinsley • Academic All-Big Ten. Game-by-Game: Recorded two tackles against Oregon State • saw action against Indiana State • made one tackle playing against Colorado State • competed against Penn State • registered a career high three tackles against Iowa • registered first career sack for a loss of seven yards against Maryland • saw action against Rutgers • made one tackle against Illinois • had a career day against Purdue with five tackles, three tackles for a loss of 11 yards and two sacks • had the only sack of the game for the Gophers and four tackles against Nebraska • led the Gophers in tackles with ten including two sacks and a forced fumble against Northwestern and was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week • had four tackles including 1.5 for a loss of nine yards and a half of a sack against Wisconsin • named Holiday Bowl Defensive Most Valuable Player after recording 12 tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack.
2015 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Played in 13 games on special teams • made four tackles, including .5 tackle-for-loss. Game-by-Game: Tallied a tackle on special teams in first career game against TCU • saw action but did not record any statistics on special teams at Colorado State • saw action on special teams at Northwestern, but did not record any statistics • tallied two tackles, including .5 tackle-for-loss, at Purdue • competed on special teams versus Nebraska, but did not record a statistic • competed but did not record a statistic versus Michigan and at Ohio State • competed on special teams and registered a tackle at Iowa • saw action against Illinois, Wisconsin and Central Michigan but did not tally any statistics.
