HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time all-conference and all-metro selection • earned honorable mention all-state honors following both his junior and senior seasons • named team MVP and team captain in 2009 • tallied 443 yards on 17 receptions (26.1 avg) • racked up 85 tackles, seven tackles for loss, eight sacks and seven pass break-ups as a defensive end during his senior season • notched four catches for 120 yards as a junior • recorded 44 tackles, three sacks in 2008 • Helped lead team to 18-7 record over his final two seasons of high school, including a state runner-up finish in 2008 • also a standout basketball and baseball player, earning three letters in each • coached by Bubba Sullivan.
