A 2009 graduate of De La Salle High School (Minn.) • earned 13 varsity letters (5 basketball, 4 football, 2 track and field, 1 golf, 1 baseball) during his career at De La Salle • four-time all-conference selection on the gridiron • two-time all-metro and all-state selection • also a two-time honorable mention all-state performer • hauled in 45 receptions for 795 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior • holds state career records for receiving yardage (4,018) and receiving touchdowns (50) • led his team to section championships as a junior and senior, while finishing as the state runner-up each season.
