Arno Rheinberger joined the Minnesota athletic medicine staff as an assistant athletic trainer in February 2017. He will work with the football team.  

Prior to Minnesota, Rheinberger was an athletic trainer at Western Michigan Uniervsity from 2014-16 and worked with the football team.

Before joining the Western Michigan staff, he worked at Rutgers since 2002 and worked witht eh Scarlet Knights' football team since 2005. At Rutgers, he also worked with women’s volleyball, wrestling, men’s lacrosse, and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams.

Prior to working at Rutgers University, Rheinberger was an assistant athletic trainer with the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe. Rheinberger previously worked with the New York Giants as a seasonal athletic trainer over the course of three seasons. 

Rheinberger earned his bachelor's degree from Rutgers in 2000 and completed his graduate studies in kinesiology at Wyoming in 2002.
