2013 • SENIOR SEASON: Started against UNLV and made four solo tackles • led team with 10 tackles at New Mexico State and also returned a fumble 50 yards for a touchdown • tied for team lead with six tackles and led team with five solo tackles against Western Illinois • made four tackles and returned one interception for 16 yards against San Jose State • totaled five tackles, including one tackle-for-loss, against Iowa • notched four tackles at Michigan • made five tackles, including one sack at Northwestern • led team with five solo tackles and forced one fumble against Nebraska • made five solo tackles and returned a fumble for 21 yards at Indiana • tallied four tackles, including one for a loss against Penn State • registered six solo tackles, forced one fumble and returned an interception 39 yards for a touchdown against Wisconsin (was his third career touchdown) • made six tackles at Michigan State.

2011 • SOPHOMORE SEASON: Missed first three games due to injury but played in the final nine • started games vs. North Dakota State and Michigan • recorded 32 tackles (16 solo, 16 assisted) • recorded one tackle-for-loss and one sack • tallied one pass break-up • awarded Gophers' Butch Nash Award for being competitive in the field and in the classroom • named Academic All-Big Ten. 2010 • FRESHMAN SEASON: Appeared in all 12 games including two starts • finished the year with 14 tackles (10 solo) while also recovering one fumble. Game-by-Game: Made his first career start at linebacker against Northern Illinois • earned starting nod against Northwestern, recovering one fumble against the Wildcats • made two solo stops against Purdue • tallied one solo stop against Ohio State • made one tackles against Michigan State • contributed two solo stops in Minnesota's win against Iowa.

2009: Redshirted • walk-on.

HIGH SCHOOL: First-team all-state selection as a senior • third-team all-metro selection • earned conference player of the year honors as a senior at Lutheran HS • earned all-conference honors as a running back and linebacker in both his junior and senior seasons • named all-conference as a linebacker as a sophomore • an all-district selection as a senior • holds Lutheran HS records for touchdowns scored (46) • two-time team MVP • two-time team offensive player of the year • earned honorable mention (running back) and second-team (kick returner) all-conference honors as a freshman • also a standout on the basketball court • was a two-time all-conference selection and a two-time team MVP on the hardwood • holds No. 4 spot in school history with 611 rebounds • qualified for track and field state championship meet in 2008 and 2009, earning all-state honors both seasons.
